Q. What time do you show up
to plow our residential driveway?
A. For smaller snow falls we go out after the snow stops.
Therefore our time of arrival would depend on mother nature.
It is impossible to give a proper time without knowing when
it is going to snow. Larger snow storms consisting of 30+cm
we go out twice per storm. Once in the middle of the storm and
once at the end. This way we keep the snow to a minimum to ensure
you do not get stuck.
Q. One of your competitors told
me they can be at my property by 7am every snow fall. Why can't
you?
A. The answer is simple. What if it doesn't start snowing
until 5am and it is expected to end at 9am. That company that
told you they can always be there by 7am would never be able
to live up to that false promise. The Driveway Doctor will never
give you false hope just to get your money. We will be honest
and truthful and we believe this policy results in a much better
business relationship with the client.
Q. If I signup for driveway plowing
only would you mind shoveling my first two steps for no additional
charge?
A. As a business we can't do this. We have employees
to pay that does the shoveling. Our shovelers get paid by location
not by the hour. So lets say we pay our employees $10 per location
they shovel and we do your property for free 5 times in a month.
That's $50.00 per month being taken from the company's pockets.
This is why there are additional charges for shoveling of walkways
and steps.
Q. How do I know I can trust
your company will keep coming back every month?
A. For starters our company is very visible. Our trucks
are all labeled with our company name and our web site is very
descriptive. We wear uniforms with our company name on them
as well. In addition to this we break up the seasonal rate into
monthly installments. Rest assured if we want all of our money
we have to keep coming back every single month. We run our business
with our clients in mind.
Q. I have had issues in the past
with other companies where the plow driver didn't seem to care
about my business. What do you do to overcome this problem with
your plow drivers?
A. This is a common problem in the plowing industry
where your plow driver is someone only making $10 per hour so
they don't really care about your property or business. With
The Driveway Doctor our trucks are all operated by the company
owners so you can bet your plow driver will value and appreciate
your business.
Q. My friend signed up in December
and is paying $106.25 per month for your services. What will
my rate be if I sign up in January?
A. Our rates are not monthly, they are seasonal. We
simply break the rates up to make it easier on your budget and
give you more reassurance we will keep coming back all winter.
So regardless of when you sign up our rate for driveway plowing
is $425. So whereas your friend signed up in December he got
the $425 rate broken up into four (4) installments. If you sign
up in January your plan will be broken up into three (3) installments
to carry your service to April. Therefore your monthly rate
will be $141.62... As you can see the sooner you signup the
better to get the most value for your money.
Q. I found another company offering
services at half your price. Will you price match?
A. Absolutely not. We are a real company with real employees
carrying real insurance. We plan on being in business for many
years and not bankrupt ourselves because of a poor pricing structure.
Many smaller companies will go in cheap because they are desperate
for business but then can't afford to operate the entire season
and then they start missing storms and not showing up at all.
Our prices are set in a way that ensure optimal operating efficiency
while at the same time being affordable.
Q. How is communication set up
with you when you are out plowing?
A. Our trucks are equipped with Blackberry phones and our clients
are given our client only email address. In addition we have
laptops, printers and highspeed internet in all of our trucks.
This way our drivers are able to log into the internet to check
for weather updates anytime any where. To our knowledge no other
company in our service areas has taken their communication to
that level. NEW FOR 2010: Our trucks
are equipped with a satellite tracking
system. You will be able to view eactly where our trucks
are during a storm, live, in real time! NO other company in
our service area offers this service!
